Opportunities may exist to participate in specialized outpatient children's mental health clinics (e.g., Pediatric Collaborative Care Program, School-Based Mental Health Program, county child and adolescent psychiatry clinic). The CBHC is an academic outpatient psychiatry clinic serving the greater Northern California region and a diverse patient population. Opportunities to participate in and lead the development of new clinical programs are available. Teaching and supervisory experience of child psychiatry and general psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students is preferred. Time is allocated for didactic teaching, case conferences, and supervision. In addition, the applicant will engage in scholarly or creative activities derived from and in support of their clinical teaching, professional, and service activities. The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, participate in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations, provide service to department and school committees. The incumbent will also have a relationship with clinical and research programs at the UC Davis MIND Institute. The Department provides a stimulating teaching and academic environment. http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/psychiatry/.
