Job Description

Eastern Oregon University’s Psychology Program invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position, with teaching responsibilities for both on campus and online courses within our program. The psychology program at Eastern Oregon University promotes an understanding of behavior, provides an understanding of the foundations of psychology as a scientific discipline, integrates the influence of psychology on contemporary thought, and promotes skills in scientific research. An undergraduate degree in psychology prepares students for entry into graduate and professional schools and prepares students for entry-level positions in the helping professions.

We seek applications from clinical psychologists who can teach the following courses: Psychopathology, Clinical Intervention, and Psychological Assessment. In addition, the successful candidate should be willing to teach a senior capstone experimental course as well as research and practicum courses as needed by our students. Regarding alignment with the department, there is a preference for an individual with research interests in areas which are accessible to both campus and online students at a primarily undergraduate university. Opportunities for summer teaching are also available.

This full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment will be filled at the Assistant Professor rank.

The successful candidates will start Fall 2025 term, with the appointment starting on September 16, 2025
