Job Description

The University of Colorado Boulder Department of Psychology and Neuroscience invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor to serve as Director of the Raimy Clinic, our in-house training clinic for our clinical psychology doctoral program. We seek a collaborative, engaged, and empathic clinician and leader with a strong commitment to empirically driven clinical training. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment with an initial 3-year appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. The position reports to the CU Boulder Clinical Psychology graduate program‘s Director of Clinical Training (DCT). The appointment will begin as early as May 2025.

The Raimy Clinic is a non-profit training clinic housed within the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Raimy Clinic (https://www.colorado.edu/clinicalpsychology/staff) is a critical component of CU’s top ranked Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Presently, the Clinic offers low-cost, sliding-scale diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy services to members of the CU and greater Boulder area community. The Clinic provides evidence-based cognitive and behavioral therapy training and services for a wide range of psychological disorders. The clinic also supports faculty-led research conducted within its facilities.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

​​The primary responsibilities of the Raimy Clinic Director include:

  • direct administrative oversight and management of Clinic staff and day-to-day operations, including overseeing the intake and intake report process and budgetary oversight of the Clinic;
  • training and supervising doctoral students in the delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy in a 12-month practicum;
  • teaching clinical graduate coursework about psychological treatment, assessment, and intervention (1 half semester course per academic year);
  • teaching undergraduate coursework related to clinical psychology (1 semester course per academic year);
  • recruitment and oversight of community-based clinical supervisors for the Clinic;
  • working in collaboration with department faculty who engage in clinical practicum training;
  • developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with the local and regional community to support externship training sites and community training partners;
  • conducting active campus and broader community outreach and promotion to ensure clinic referrals, visibility, and proper client caseload to meet training needs;
  • assuring Clinic adherence to ethical and legal standards of professional conduct and APA accreditation standards;
  • partnering with the Director of Clinical Training and clinical program faculty in the administration and oversight of the doctoral training program and clinic.

What You Should Know

This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment with an initial 3-year appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. The appointment will begin as early as May 2025.

The annual salary range for this position is​​ $80,000-$85,000.

What We Require

​​​Eligible applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an APA and/or PCSAS accredited program (or foreign equivalent) and be licensed or license-eligible in Colorado.
