Job Description

The Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, Department of Psychiatry, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, seeks candidates for a two-year postdoctoral position.  A third year option is available to receive additional mentoring in writing and submitting independent grants in order to transition to a faculty position at our university. The successful applicant will have research and clinical experience in the field of psychology with a focus on anxiety-related disorders, including OCD or PTSD.  Responsibilities include helping design and conduct clinical treatment mechanism and outcome studies, conducting protocol therapy/assessments, and preparing research protocols, scholarly publications, and grant applications. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by the start of the position and have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in research, education, clinical care.

Successful candidates will join a team of anxiety-focused researchers/clinicians at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, led by Edna Foa, Ph.D.  Strong skills in evidence-based psychological assessments/treatments (e.g.,CBT), and training in assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders required.
