Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship in the department of Psychology at Wesleyan University. We seek a highly-motivated researcher with an interest in examining the link between sleep and emotion (e.g., stress) during adolescence and emerging adulthood. The post-doctoral fellow will work with Dr. Royette Tavernier and Dr. Patricia Rodriguez Mosquera. Responsibilities will include publishing manuscripts using existing data, writing grants, and pilot testing for future studies. The ideal candidate will have experience using a variety of statistical tools for analyzing longitudinal data (e.g., autoregressive cross-lagged effects models, structural equation modeling, latent class analysis, latent growth analysis, hierarchical linear modeling, and multilevel modeling). Experience in coding and analyzing sleep data based on actigraphy will be an asset. The candidate is expected to teach one undergraduate seminar (in his/her area of expertise) per semester and will have the opportunity to co-supervise highly-motivated undergraduate research assistants. The successful candidate will receive training and supervision in developing an independent program of research within the area of sleep and emotion. Wesleyan University is a highly-selective liberal arts institution, where faculty are actively engaged in research.
