POST-DOCTORAL TEACHER-SCHOLAR FELLOW POSITION

We seek to fill a combined research and teaching position in the Wake Forest University Department of Psychology (contingent upon funding). Teaching duties: The post-doctoral teacher-scholar will teach two courses per semester. The scholar will have a teaching mentor who will help them develop and teach courses. Research duties: The post-doctoral teacher-scholar will also engage in research projects with a member or members of the WFU Dept. of Psychology. Possible research projects include working with Dr. Eranda Jayawickreme on longitudinal studies examining well-being and/or personality change in the wake of adversity and challenge; Dr. Lisa Kiang on issues related ethnic/racial identity development, including socialization, discrimination, links to well-being, and change over time; and/or Dr. E.J. Masicampo on self-regulation, self-control, and/or morality. These projects will offer substantial opportunity for a candidate to design studies, write publications, shape research questions and designs, and conduct statistical analyses.
The candidate should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to teach introductory psychology courses. This position is ideal for scholars who are looking to improve both their teaching and researching profiles to become more competitive for academic positions that require both. This is a one-year position (contingent on approval of funding).
