Job Description

Applications are invited for an associate researcher position at ShenZhen University. The position is available immediately and the latest starting date is September 15, 2018.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field (e.g. developmental psychology, social psychology, social work) by August, 2018.

Salary and benefits will be competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Faculty housing for rent is available for half of the market price. We are looking for candidates with:

  • a strong publication record
  • a background in addictive behavior theories
  • experience with statistical modeling techniques
  • experience with EEG or eye-tracking techniques
  • experience involving undergraduate students in research projects

Application materials:

  1. A cover letter embedded in the email.
  2. An academic curriculum vitae (CV) specifying education background (school, program, relevant courses taken or taught), publication records, and unpublished research work/projects of the applicant.
  3. A writing sample in English, preferably in the field of behavioral addiction. This could be a publication, a manuscript, or a class essay.
  4. A writing sample in Chinese. This should be an academic writing up to the standard for publication.
