Hope College has a tenure-track opening in Cognitive Psychology or Developmental Psychology for Fall 2019. Rank is open, with preference given to hiring at the level of assistant professor. Teaching responsibilities are three courses a semester, with typically one or two preparations per semester. Candidates will be expected to teach Cognitive Psychology or lifespan Developmental Psychology. Other courses may include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and an advanced course in one's area of expertise. Applicants should have a completed PhD in psychology or a related discipline by August 2019.

Start-up funds for research are available, along with applications for internal research support and assistance in seeking external funding. The Psychology Department at Hope College has 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty and graduates 60-90 majors per year. Hope College offers an interdisciplinary minor in neuroscience that graduates 12-18 minors per year. Hope's neuroscience program is growing and has human (EEG, peripheral physiology) and animal labs.
