Job Description

The Department of Psychology at Butler University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor beginning August, 2019. We seek a colleague who is committed to and has a track record of exemplary teaching and high-quality research with undergraduate collaborators.  We seek a psychologist from an applied subdiscipline, such as forensic, I-O, or environmental psychology.

 

The successful applicant will be broadly trained in psychology and will be ready to teach in a multidisciplinary core curriculum.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate research methods and statistics courses.  In addition, preference will be given to those who have taught undergraduate cognitive, biological, or personality psychology.   Standard teaching load is nine (9) credit hours per semester plus an active program of research involving undergraduate collaborators. Position requires a Ph.D. in psychology at time of appointment.
