Job Description

The Department of Psychology at The University of Tampa is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2019.

Candidates must have interest in and/or experience teaching courses in cognition, such as cognitive psychology and sensation and perception, and also in general psychology and research methods and statistics. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach and/or develop other courses in their specialty. Teaching responsibilities include three, 4 credit courses each semester, with a one-course offload available before applying for tenure. Other responsibilities will include standard student advising, committee service, and maintaining an active record of scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in and/or experience with mentoring undergraduate research. College or university teaching experience and demonstrated scholarly activity in the field are preferred.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology in any area of cognitive psychology.
