Instructor, Psychology – Tenure Track
The Humanities, Social Sciences & Education Department invites applicants to apply for a full-time tenure-track position in Psychology. Seeking qualified candidates to primarily teach courses as assigned.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
Instruction of 5 sections per semester, including multiple sections of Introduction to Psychology.
Demonstrate commitment to teaching and working within a multicultural and multigenerational student body.
Make continued efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing varied methodologies, techniques and delivery methods, including skills for teaching online.
Develop a syllabus for each course taught using College and departmental guidelines.
Assess student learning; provide timely and informative feedback to students.
Review, evaluate and recommend student learning materials.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary department.
Communicate with students during office hours, via email and through other appropriate methods.
Serve on college-wide committees including those which require departmental representation.
Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.
Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two years' prior teaching experience in Psychology.
Demonstrated professional development related to Psychology.
Demonstrate or be willing to acquire skills for instructing online courses.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
College Level teaching
