Job Description

The School of Graduate Psychology (SGP) in the College of Health Professions at Pacific University Oregon is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in Fall 2019. We seek applicants with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Community Psychology to join the faculty of our MA Program in Applied Psychological Science. We particularly encourage individuals with interest in underserved populations, including health disparities or healthcare equity, to apply.  Experience in evidence-based practices and diverse clinical service applications such as substance abuse intervention, group intervention, and career counseling is also desirable. We are an academic community that is dedicated to preparation of master’s students in psychology with emphasis on scientific clinical application. The successful candidate will teach, mentor students in academic and clinical contexts, offer university service, and conduct and supervise research.

The School of Graduate Psychology has three academic programs: MA in Applied Psychological Science, PhD in Clinical Psychology, and PsyD in Clinical Psychology, and is housed within the College of Health Professions, also home to programs in physical therapy, audiology, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, dental health science, pharmacy, athletic training, and healthcare administration.  Opportunities for interprofessional collaboration are plentiful and encouraged.  Pacific University’s Health Professions campus, located in downtown Hillsboro, OR, is 15 miles west of Downtown Portland and easily accessible by public transit.
