Western Oregon University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology or a closely related field. The successful candidate would join a robust division with 12 other tenure-track faculty and several non-tenure track faculty (please see our website at the following link: http://www.wou.edu/behavioralsciences. Notably, we have a diverse student population, particularly with regards to non-traditional student populations and veterans. We welcome applications from scholars who are from populations historically underrepresented in the academy, and/or who have experience working with diverse populations.
The teaching load is three courses per term and may include Social Psychology, Advanced Social Psychology, Quantitative Methods, Research Methods, Introduction to Industrial/Organizational Psychology, History of Psychology, General Psychology, and seminars/courses in the applicant’s specialty area.
Start Date: September 16, 2019
We are not considering candidates who require Visa sponsorship support. Additionally, the University typically only considers visa support for employees placed in specialized positions that are continuing regular University appointments.
