Tenure Track Assistant Professor
Behavioral Science

The Department of Psychology at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in our Behavioral Science program. Preference will be given to candidates with a coherent and externally fundable research program reflecting expertise in any area of Behavioral Science, including developmental psychology, cognitive science, motivation science, neuroscience, and social psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach graduate level Research Methodology and Advanced Statistics courses and engage in research focused on underrepresented populations. Responsibilities will include maintaining a vigorous research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising graduate student research, and serving on departmental committees. Tenure Track Assistant Professor
Counseling Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join its APA-accredited Counseling Psychology program, beginning Fall 2019. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong research program and a record of applying for or receiving extramural funding. The specific areas of research and scholarly work for this faculty position are open. However, preference will be given to candidates with research closely relevant to diversity issues and complementing one of the program’s elective clusters. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate strong interests in mentoring and supervising students’ clinical work since training and supervision are a valued component of the program faculty. Faculty responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active research program, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, seeking research grants, advising doctoral students, and sharing service duties.
