POSITION: Assistant Professor-Psychology (tenure track) with expertise in Developmental Psychology and a research focus on developmental disabilities, beginning August 2019. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Psychology with specialization in developmental disabilities. Only candidates with active research programs that can involve students will be considered. Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence at the university level (e.g., student evaluations/summaries, peer observation summaries), and must be able to supervise Master’s theses. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of research productivity, and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research and/or service. DUTIES: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses primarily in developmental psychology, including developmental research methods; will supervise Master’s theses; involve graduate and undergraduate students in an active research program; and participate in activities serving the department, college, university, and community. We are particularly interested in applicants whose research areas complement and expand upon our current tenure-track faculty offerings, as well as those whose work will take advantage of our ethnically diverse region.
