The Department of Psychology at Florida Atlantic University, together with the Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I-SENSE), seek outstanding candidates for an open-rank position at the intersection of psychology, sensing technology, computation, and analytics to begin Fall 2019. This appointment will help to catalyze interdisciplinary collaboration that advances the understanding and prediction of human (child or adult) behavior at the individual, dyadic, or group level. The position, housed in the Department of Psychology (http://www.psy.fau.edu), will have access to resources provided by I-SENSE (http://isense.fau.edu), designated as a core strategic area of research by Florida Atlantic University.
The primary responsibilities include establishing a program of funded research that entails the innovative use of sensing technology, computation, and data analytics to advance our understanding of the processes/mechanisms that guide social or health-related behavior, intersecting with departmental strengths in cognitive, developmental, or social psychology.

A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution is required at time of application.
University and Research level teaching experience preferred.
Candidates whose research programs have strong translational implications preferred.
