Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics, a rapidly growing private psychology practice in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking applications for postdoctoral residents with specialization in assessment and intervention, specifically with the pediatric population.
Ideal applicants will have assessment and training background with autism and other developmental disabilities as well as experience treating neuro-typical clients with behavioral challenges and mental health needs. Although schedules are created on an individual basis for each resident, the position is generally composed as follows: one-third of the resident’s time is dedicated to mental health treatment (e.g., individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, parent management training), one-third of time is dedicated to psychological testing and report-writing (e.g., LD/ADHD assessments, autism and developmental assessments, mood and anxiety evaluations, neuropsychological testing), and one-third of time is dedicated to behavior therapy (e.g., ABA with clients in our early childhood center and connected school for students with autism and other behavioral needs). The position will also provide opportunities for school consultation, community outreach, and participation in a multi-disciplinary clinic providing free developmental screenings for the community. Residents will receive individual, group, and in-session supervision. Didactic activities are also provided weekly.
Training Model and Philosophy: Our clinic emphasizes a behavioral approach to assessment and treatment, with a focus on identifying and altering the environmental variables that motivate and maintain behavior. Note: Resident should have obtained their Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited program and completed an internship prior to the start date. Keystone’s residency meets the requirements for licensure in the state of Florida.
