Job Description

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Colgate University invites applications for two visiting positions in psychological science or cognitive neuroscience beginning fall semester 2019. These positions may be renewable annually for up to three years. The teaching load for each position is equivalent to five courses per year. Area of specialty is open, with the combination of the two successful candidates being able to fill the following teaching responsibilities: foundational courses (such as Introduction to Psychological Science, Research Methods, and Statistics), courses in human and/or animal cognition / cognitive neuroscience, student research supervision, and upper-level courses in the candidate’s specialty area (e.g., attention and memory, decision making, cognitive neuroscience, etc.). Successful candidates may be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Completion of Ph.D. in psychology or cognitive neuroscience is expected prior to, or shortly after, the date of hire.
