Job Description

The Neuroscience Program at Bates College, a private liberal arts college in Maine, invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in behavioral neuroscience to begin August 1, 2019. A Ph.D. is required by the start of the contract. We are especially interested in candidates whose work involves rodent models, with potential clinical/medical applications. The successful candidate would teach Physiological Psychology with labs, Introduction to Neuroscience, and Psychopharmacology. Bates values innovative, inclusive pedagogy and active scholarship, and we seek applicants who can successfully integrate undergraduates in their research. Dedicated laboratory facilities and access to an animal facility are provided for this position.
