The Division of Traumatic Stress Studies at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center has an immediate opening for a 1-year renewable postdoctoral clinical research psychologist under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Yehuda. The postdoctoral fellow will join a well-established research team with active research protocols on risk, prevention, and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and moral injury. The fellow will have opportunities for training related to diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and neuroendocrinology of PTSD. Primary responsibilities include conducting structured diagnostic assessments and scoring of psychological tests for veteran and civilian research participants. The applicant will also participate in consensus diagnostic conferences. The postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to conduct data analysis and assist with manuscript preparation, as well as contribute to granting writing. Research oriented candidates may have access to multiple cross sectional and treatment outcome datasets, and have opportunities to propose and contribute to manuscript development. Clinically oriented candidates will receive supervision for clinical assessments that may be used for licensure.
