Job Description

POSTDOC FELLOW

A full-time postdoc position is available at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill beginning January 2020 or summer 2020.  The position offers extensive opportunities to analyze and publish data from NIH and foundation-funded studies on adolescent brain development, social relationships, health risk behaviors, and/or teen technology/social media use, and will be housed with an emerging center on technology and adolescent brain development, co-led by Drs. Eva Telzer and Mitch Prinstein.

Interests/expertise in neuroimaging research, longitudinal analyses, technology/social media use, or educational curriculum development will offer a great fit for this position.  This position is for up to 3 years.  The person in this position also will receive professional development training to help with career decision-making, grant writing (F, K, R), and guidance on applications for faculty positions.  Dedicated time to accrue clinical hours towards licensure will be possible, if relevant.

Applicants with a PhD from development psychology, clinical psychology, neuroscience or related fields are encouraged to apply, as are members of underrepresented racial, ethnic, sexual, or gender minority groups.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.  Interested applicants should submit 1) a vita/resume; 2) the names and emails of two references; and 3) indicate a preference to being in January or in summer of 2020 to ehtelzer@unc.edu and/or mitch.prinstein@unc.edu.  Review of applications will begin immediately.  Applicants will be contacted only if selected for further consideration.
