Job Description

A full-time tenure-track position in Psychology at the Assistant Professor level is available beginning in the fall semester of 2020 at St. Lawrence University. We seek an individual with background and specialization in health psychology and/or cultural psychology. The successful candidate will teach Health Psychology and/or Cultural Psychology (depending upon expertise), Introductory Psychology, and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Teaching load is three courses per semester. We are particularly interested in an individual who has a strong commitment to the diversity of the academic community and can demonstrate this commitment through teaching, research, and/or service. The successful candidate will join a department of 13 full-time faculty members and two academic support persons who are passionate about supporting our liberal arts curriculum through diverse and inclusive pedagogies and scholarly agendas. Our supportive faculty community regularly provides feedback and mentoring opportunities to new faculty to foster pedagogical and professional development. Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have their Ph.D. in health and/or cultural psychology or a related field by August 15, 2020, but ABD candidates may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants with demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship and indicate strong commitment to undergraduate education at a liberal arts college that values diversity in the classroom, the campus, and the broader community.
