Job Description

The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professors in clinical psychology to begin Fall, 2020, with a preference for candidates whose areas of study are in multiculturalism, health psychology (including eating disorders), developmental disorders, or neuropsychology, all broadly defined.  Candidates whose work encompasses any stage of the lifespan are encouraged to apply.  The successful applicant would be expected to (1) maintain a high-quality, fundable research program, (2) teach graduate courses in clinical psychology, (3) supervise practicum students through our on-campus training clinic, (4) mentor undergraduate and graduate students, (5) provide excellent instruction and research supervision, and (6) participate in curricular decisions and faculty governance.  The clinical psychology doctoral program at UNLV is APA-accredited and based on a scientist-practitioner model (https://www.unlv.edu/psychology/graduateprograms/phd-clinical).  The Department has 30 full-time faculty members and an experimental Ph.D. program with cognitive, developmental, neuroscience, and quantitative/experimental areas of study.  Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited clinical program, an accredited clinical internship, and be licensed or license-eligible.


Salary is competitive, and the position is contingent upon funding.
