Job Description

The Swarthmore College Department of Psychology announces a 2-year, non-tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin in the fall semester, 2020. The individual will be responsible for teaching introductory developmental psychology and research methods, as well as advanced undergraduate courses in an area of specialization within developmental psychology.  We seek an individual with a commitment to teaching as well as an active research program that can engage diverse and talented undergraduates. The Department has state-of-the-art lab facilities and research connections to local area preschools.  Swarthmore is a small, highly selective liberal arts college, located in the suburbs of Philadelphia.  Consideration of candidates will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.


The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2020, a compelling classroom presence, and a broad range of teaching and research interests appealing to a diverse undergraduate student population.
