The Swarthmore College Department of Psychology announces a 3-year, non-tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin in the fall semester, 2020. This position is renewable for an additional 2 years (5 years total), contingent upon a positive review during the second year.  The individual will be responsible for teaching introductory and advanced courses in cognitive neuroscience, as well as courses in cognitive psychology and research methods.  We seek an individual with a commitment to teaching as well as an active research program that can engage diverse and talented undergraduates. The Department has state-of-the-art EEG lab facilities (EGI) and full-time technical support. There is an active Cognitive Science program on campus, as well as a special major in Neuroscience supported by the Departments of Biology and Psychology.  Swarthmore is a small, highly selective liberal arts college, located in the suburbs of Philadelphia. 

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2020, a compelling classroom presence, and a broad range of teaching and research interests appealing to a diverse undergraduate student population.
