The Association for Psychological Science (APS), a growing, DC-based scientific organization, seeks eagerly, highly motivated individuals for internship positions during the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters.
APS is dedicated to the advancement and representation of scientific psychology across the full range of research areas in this diverse field. With over 33,000 members from around the world, APS membership includes the field’s leading scientists, academics, educators, and students. APS publishes five highly respected journals (with a sixth journal in the launch process), hosts an annual US-based conference and biannual international conference, publishes the monthly Observer magazine, and has a broad public outreach program that raises the visibility of APS members, their research, and the psychological science field as a whole.
APS interns will be assigned to a team at APS from a list including: News & Information, Publications, Membership, Marketing, and Policy & Government Relations. They may have the opportunity to work in several areas during a semester. Assignment, hours, and schedule for interns will be established on an individual basis. Duties of previous interns have included:

• Researching psychology programs and helping APS connect with members
• Helping advance APS’s teaching and mentorship programs
• Conducting market research to improve APS marketing efforts • Tracking US and international funders of psychological science research
• Writing blog posts, social media blurbs, and other copy
Undergraduate students or very recent graduates are the best fit for this position, especially if they are working on a psychology degree or a degree related to one of APS’s teams. Please email resume and cover letter to email@example.com. No telephone calls please. APS is an equal opportunity employer. Submit materials by September 18 for consideration for a Fall internship, and by December 15 for a Spring internship.
