Position Summary:
The University of St. Francis Department of Psychology invites applications for the position of Instructor with a specialty in the Recovery Support Specialist area. Full-time faculty member would teach the PSYC-297, “Field Practicum and Fieldwork for Recovery Support Services,” which is the course in USF’s Recovery Support Specialist certificate program. Position will begin in August 2022.
The faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned class, helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with curriculum development and review; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area Program Coordinator; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.
Teaching assignments may include day, evening, online, hybrid, and/or weekend classes. Instructors will be required to be on campus two times per month at minimum. Internship sites will be visited at least one time per semester. This position is grant-funded and contingent on continuing grant funding.
