Assistant Professor - Cognitive Psychology
BACKGROUND
The Department of Psychology at Trinity University invites applications for a tenure-track position in cognitive psychology, at the rank of assistant professor, beginning in Fall 2024. A Ph.D. in psychology or closely related discipline is required by August of 2024, and the area of specialization should be cognitive psychology (e.g., human memory, attention, problem solving, learning, decision making). The successful applicant will demonstrate potential to be an excellent teacher and mentor, pursue an active research program with undergraduate students, and contribute to the department’s and university’s curricular needs. Candidates should be capable of teaching courses in cognitive psychology (both introductory and in the candidate’s area of expertise) and statistics and research methods. Successful candidates will have a record of publication in peer-reviewed journals in cognitive psychology or related subdisciplines.
