Assistant Professor of Psychology
Hendrix College invites applications for a tenure track position for an Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin in August 2024. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. We are seeking candidates with a background in Counseling or Clinical Psychology. Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, core courses in Clinical Psychology/Psychopathology, and upper-level mental-health-oriented courses in the area of the candidate’s expertise. Teaching and advising responsibilities will support the Psychology Department and Health Sciences program. We welcome licensed candidates to discuss the possibility of maintaining a small professional practice, if interested. Teaching load will be six courses (three per semester). Doctorate is preferred; ABD will be considered.
