Job Description

The Illinois College Psychology Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Psychology to begin August 2024.


The successful hire will be a leader for our new Behavioral Health program which includes a minor in Addictions Studies and a Concentration in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counseling. The successful hire will teach courses including Introduction to Counseling, Crisis Intervention and Counseling, and Abnormal Psychology, as well as other courses for the Psychology Major including Introduction to Psychology. Preference for candidates with clinical experience, especially in alcohol and other drug counseling. Applicants must have a commitment to undergraduate teaching, advising, and developing an undergraduate student-faculty research program. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion essential. Strong preference for previous college teaching experience both in person and online.
