A tenure-track appointment in Psychology is available on August 1, 2018, at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Division of Science at IUPUC. The position is a ten-month teaching assignment with expectations of teaching a variety of courses across the discipline at various academic levels, conducting and publishing quality scholarly research, and participation in service activities.
REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Psychology (or closely related field) by December 31, 2017, with a concentration in Cognition, Cognitive Development, and/or Cognitive Neuroscience; successfully teach undergraduate courses in research methods, capstone in psychology, cognition, and learning; maintain an active program of research with human subjects (IUPUC does not have animal facilities); publish research findings in quality peer-reviewed journals.
PREFERENCES: Two or more years of teaching experience with traditional and/or non-traditional undergraduate students; ability to teach courses outside area of specialization; area of research complements existing faculty research; experience conducting research with atypically developing populations (e.g., ASD); ability to involve undergraduate students in research.
