For U.S. citizens residing in North America, we are open to this being a largely remote (‘tele-work’) position.    The focus of this position will be to support on-going analytic and manuscript projects focused on the neurobiology of fear and anxiety and its role in the development and maintenance of anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and psychosis. The Department of Psychology at Murray State University seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2021.  Candidates must be able to teach courses in biopsychology and must provide evidence of excellence in teaching, the ability to establish an active research program, and the interest and ability to involve undergraduate and master’s level graduate students in their research as well as direct undergraduate research projects and graduate theses.  Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology.  The PhD must be completed by time of appointment.  ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
