Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 $62,645.01 - $88,933.02   Ancora State Psychiatric Hospital is seeking an experienced Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 responsible for supervising programs of psychological services including program development and evaluation, training psychologists and other professionals and nonprofessionals. This individual will monitor their performance and carry out psychological programs in accord with professional and administrative standards. This candidate will provide direct high level services to clients, and participate in administrative decision making within the psychology department to the design of positive programs and supports within a multidisciplinary mental health setting serving a diverse adult population with severe and persistent mental illness.    Position requires a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology.  Preference is given to applicants with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD, or EdD).  Must have completed one (1) year of supervised full-time clinical internship or of one (1) year of extensively supervised clinical experience. Graduate course training shall have included at least thirty (30) semester hour credits in a psychology program consisting of six (6) semester hour credits in counseling/psychotherapy, and three (3) semester hour credits in each of the following areas: individual intelligence testing, objective and/or projective testing, and abnormal psychology. At least fifteen (15) semester hour credits should be in courses relevant to clinical psychology such as learning theories, human motivation, personality theories, human growth and development, psychopharmacology, and statistics and research.   Two (2) years of responsible experience in addition to the supervised clinical internship in the field of clinical psychology in a community mental health center, mental hospital, school for the developmentally disabled, or penal, correctional, or juvenile institution, or other setting involving the use of psychodiagnostics, psychotherapy, projective techniques, and other clinical methods.    SPECIAL NOTE: One (1) year of residency (advanced training beyond internship or extensively supervised clinical experience) is considered equivalent to one (1) year of experience.   NOTE: Thirty (30) additional semester hour credits beyond the Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience which must be earned subsequent to the supervised full-time clinical internship. OR NOTE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Doctorate degree in Psychology (Ph.D.) or a Doctorate degree in Education (Ed.D.)in psychology and completion of a one (1) year supervised full-time clinical internship. Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University Position Summary Seeking to hire one or two postdoctoral researchers to collaborate with me across two grants on preschool children’s mathematical language development. One project is a National Science Foundation funded grant evaluating the impacts of mathematical language instruction on mathematics and spatial skills in preschool children. The other project is the final stages of evaluating a parent implemented mathematical language intervention for monolingual English speakers and dual language learners. The positions have the potential to be for up to two or three years depending on performance.   Responsibilities may include: intervention development, manuscript preparation, project management, presentation of findings, development of coding schemes for video and audio recordings, and development and implementation of dissemination events for families and schools. A core part of one of the projects will be preparation of a registered report, thus, interest and knowledge of open science practices are desired.   Start date is negotiable, but preferred start is no later than August 15th, 2020.   For best consideration, applications should be submitted by January 4, 2020. For this position, we are interested in researchers whose research uses new computational techniques to examine issues that intersect cognitive and social psychology . The current position seeks to build on a recently established, ASU-wide research cluster – Behavioral Data Science. Preference will be given to candidates who can collaborate with existing Psychology faculty and whose research interests supplement our emerging strengths in exploring large-scale naturalistic and experimentally collected data within a data science framework to generate new insights about underlying psychological processes. The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences is presently in a period of expansion and innovation around new initiatives and programs in Psychology, including Behavioral Data Science, Forensic Psychology, and Resilience in Social Environments.
