The Social and Behavioral Sciences at Soka University of America invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, beginning August 1, 2023. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology or a closely associated subfield within psychology (“All but dissertation” or ABD candidates will be considered).  As part of a five-course teaching load, candidates will be expected to teach some combination of undergraduate courses in Introduction to Psychology, research methods, upper division psychology courses in the candidate’s area of interest, and other courses in the general education program. Position Description The Psychology Department at Yale University is looking to hire a lecturer with an initial 1-year appointment beginning Sept. 1, 2022. The goal of this position is to teach history of psychology with a focus on racism and colonial power embedded in psychology and the psychological sciences more broadly.  We envision that these courses will allow graduate and undergraduate students to not only learn about, but also think critically about the racist, sexist, and classist past and present of psychology and the ways in which such systems of power interact with their own research practices.
