Applications are invited for a lab manager position working under the supervision of Dr. Alia Crum within the Department of Psychology at Stanford University. The lab manager will work closely with members of the Mind & Body Lab ( https://mbl.stanford.edu/ ) to help run the lab and conduct research. Administrative responsibilities will include: Being the primary point of contact for any lab-related questions from people inside and outside the lab Managing lab finances and assisting with grant submissions Designing resources and workflows to support lab projects Hiring, training, and mentoring undergraduate research assistants Managing lab website, calendar, and software Organizing lab meetings and events Research responsibilities will include: Recruiting and running participants/collecting data Developing stimuli and experimental protocols Assisting with study design Managing data storage and cleaning Reviewing/editing manuscripts Position details: Title: Lab Manager Time commitment: Full-time, 2-year commitment Preferred start date: June 2020 (flexible) Required qualifications: B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent Previous research and/or work experience (research/work experience during college counts!) Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong written and oral communication skills Preferred qualifications (but don’t let these deter you from applying): Experience managing multiple projects (of any sort) simultaneously Experience working on studies involving human participants Familiarity with data collection tools and platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Amazon Mechanical Turk) Familiarity with data management and analysis tools (e.g., R) Interested candidates should submit a resume/CV and a 1-2 page cover letter describing their interests, research experience, and prior work experience to Isaac Handley-Miner ( firstname.lastname@example.org ).
