The Department of Psychology at Butler University invites applications for a Lecturer position to begin August 2020. This is a one-year non-tenure track position with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. We seek a colleague who is committed to exemplary teaching and collaborative research with undergraduate students. The successful applicant will be broadly trained in psychology and will have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses. During the one-year appointment, the Lecturer will teach sections of Learning or Biological Bases of Behavior, either or both of our Research Methods and Statistics courses, and Introductory Psychology. Standard teaching load is 4 classes per semester, but 1 class per year may be reassigned if the applicant involves our students in high-quality independent research. Position requires a Ph.D. in psychology at time of appointment.
