The Department of Comparative Human Development at the University of Chicago invites applications for an open rank faculty position to start on or after July 1, 2023. We seek a scholar who conducts research on learning and socialization, and/or development in context, including but not limited to, research on racial, ethnic, gender, and/or ability differences in educational processes and outcomes. Candidates whose research takes a life course perspective to explore intersections between multiple and overlapping categories of marginalization will be of particular interest. In line with the department’s focus on international research, we encourage candidates who conduct research outside the United States to apply.
