Job Description: The Department of Psychology at Binghamton University, State University of New York invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Cognitive Neuroscience to start Fall 2023. The committee is interested in candidates using cognitive neuroscience approaches to study cognitive processes such as learning, memory, language, categorization, attention, or perception. We are especially interested in candidates who apply neuroimaging techniques (e.g., fMRI and EEG) to add to or complement existing strengths in the department. This includes, among others, the question on how grammatical features of different languages guide socio-cognitive processes, how a speaker’s vocal characteristics affect the interpretation of an utterance (for instance, changes in meaning when a sentence is pronounced by a   gay/lesbian   vs.   straight sounding   speaker), or other lines of research on the language-cognition link that the Post-Doctoral Associate may want to pursue. As part of an international research project on developing effective interventions to counter false information in India, the Cambridge Social Decision-Making Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate, who will work on a project that enables information literacy and resilience to false information online.
