The Department of Psychology at Mercyhurst University (Erie, PA) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Developmental Psychology.  Preference will be given to applicants that focus on cognitive development, but other areas of expertise will be reviewed as well.  Standard contracts at the university run 9 months (August 15-May 15) with 24 credit-hours (4 class) per semester load.  Courses to be taught include: Developmental Psychology: Childhood, Developmental Psychology: Adolescence, and Advanced Topics in Developmental Psychology, plus the potential for offerings in areas such as lifespan, gerontology, psychopathology or the candidate’s area of expertise.  Course taught in the service of the department may include: Introduction to Psychology, Research Design and Statistical Analysis, Memory and Cognition.  Other departmental and college duties include student advising, recruitment, and academic committees.   A Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology,...
