The Department of Occupational Therapy invites applications for the position of Full Professor and Chair of the Department, which is one of four departments in the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College at Boston University. The faculty appointment includes senior leadership responsibilities and significant collaboration with the Dean on strategic initiatives for the College. Candidates should demonstrate a strong research background and a successful record of external support for research. Qualifications include: (a) earned doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) with a funded research program in or relevant to occupational therapy; (b) experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably including entry-level professional students; (c) experience mentoring others in the development of their programs of research and scholarship; (d) a record of professional engagement; (e) clinical background as an occupational therapist strongly preferred.
