The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join the Early Steps Dynamics project (ES-Dynamics) under the supervision of Drs. Jenn-Yun Tein, and Kathryn Lemery-Chalfant. The postdoctoral research scholar will join a talented and cohesive team analyzing longitudinal data from the large and racially/ethnically diverse Early Steps Multisite study, with a focus on examining proximal mechanisms of prevention and genetic influences on adolescent and adult mental health and substance misuse. Specifically, we will be using dynamic quantitative methods to examine parent-child emotions and behavior during observed interactions filmed and coded at multiple occasions across early childhood. Primary duties include data management, data analysis, and writing empirical research papers.
