The Goldin-Meadow Laboratory and the Environmental Neuroscience Lab (PI: Marc Berman) in the Department of Psychology at the University of Chicago are seeking a postdoctoral researcher beginning in the Fall of 2021 (start date is flexible). The postdoctoral researcher will join a team investigating how action and gesture instruction differentially affect children’s ability to learn, generalize, and retain information related to a math lesson using different neuroimaging modalities, i.e., fMRI and fNIRS. The postdoctoral researcher will be applying cutting edge analysis and modeling techniques to the data, which involve multivariate analysis, network analysis, non-linear dynamics measures and classification techniques that the ENL applies to their data regularly. The postdoctoral researcher will also have the opportunity to be involved in other projects in the labs, including behavioral analyses of gesture and working with large datasets such as the ABCD adolescent neuroimaging...
