Seeking a postdoctoral research scholar with prior research and mental health training to work on a mobile health and depression study. The position will start in late Spring or Summer 2021 at the Center for Healthy Minds, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Simon B. Goldberg, Heather C. Abercrombie and Richard J. Davidson are recruiting a motivated and creative postdoctoral scholar for a project evaluating a mobile health intervention for depression. The intervention is based in contemplative practices and designed to improve well-being and reduce depression. The study will evaluate intervention-related behavioral changes. In addition, affective computing methods will be used in the development of novel “passive” measures of the plasticity of well-being that can be derived from natural speech. Drs. Candidates are being considered for a 1-year NIMH-funded postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Alex Shackman in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland at College Park ( http://shackmanlab.org/ ). For U.S. citizens residing in North America, we are open to this being a largely remote (‘tele-work’) position.    The focus of this position will be to support on-going analytic and manuscript projects focused on the neurobiology of fear and anxiety and its role in the development and maintenance of anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and psychosis. A secondary focus will be linking variation in circuit function to thoughts, feelings, and behavior in the clinic and real-world, indexed via semi-structured interviews and smartphone-based ecological momentary assessment (EMA). The Department of Psychology at Murray State University seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2021.  Candidates must be able to teach courses in biopsychology and must provide evidence of excellence in teaching, the ability to establish an active research program, and the interest and ability to involve undergraduate and master’s level graduate students in their research as well as direct undergraduate research projects and graduate theses.  Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology.  The PhD must be completed by time of appointment.  ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
