BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE, Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology. The Department of Psychology at Colby College invites applications for a one-year, full-time position in Behavioral Neuroscience to begin September 1, 2021, with the possibility of successive appointments for up to three years. Teaching responsibilities for this position include introductory and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of training, participation in a team-taught introduction to psychology course, and supervision of student independent research. The specific area of research is open and we are especially interested in candidates who conduct research using rat models. The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral scholar position. The post-doctoral scholar will work with Dr. Mary Murphy and her graduate and undergraduate students on new and existing grant-funded projects aimed at understanding the role of identity and group membership in shaping academic, behavioral, and well-being outcomes. The postdoctoral fellow will also have the opportunity to develop their own projects. Desired qualifications include: a PhD in psychology or related field; statistical expertise including multilevel modeling with nested and longitudinal designs, demonstrated evidence of research productivity and academic writing; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and a passion for novel research in the areas of identity threat, stereotyping and prejudice, and organizational mindset in education and/or organizational settings.
