The contract is for one year, with option of renewal pending satisfactory performance. POSITION DESCRIPTION : The ideal candidate will be interested in contributing to on-going research in the lab. One trajectory broadly examines the methods, validity, interpretation, and application of measures of implicit social cognition. The other examines the development and impact of social biases in judgment, and how such biases can be reduced. The post-doc could be interested in either, or both, of these areas of research.  The lab uses a wide variety of methodological techniques and focuses on a broad range of intergroup contexts, such as race, gender identity, religion, age, and physical attractiveness. The Department of Psychology at Murray State University seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2021.  Candidates must be able to teach courses in biopsychology and must provide evidence of excellence in teaching, the ability to establish an active research program, and the interest and ability to involve undergraduate and master’s level graduate students in their research as well as direct undergraduate research projects and graduate theses.  Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology.  The PhD must be completed by time of appointment.  ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who can make use of our departmental psychophysiology research lab that currently includes multichannel systems that can handle bioelectrical signals (e.g. heart rate, EEG, EMG, skin conductance, etc.) as well as bioamplifiers for electroencephalography, electromyography, and electrooculography....
