The MIDUS Affective Neuroscience Project team led by Dr. Stacey M. Schaefer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Institute on Aging is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to analyze and publish on data from the national longitudinal Midlife in the US study. MIDUS is an NIA-supported study on aging explicitly focused on all the adult years (25-100+) with multiple longitudinal timepoints over the past +20 years. Founded in 1968, the Center is located near the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University in Philadelphia. We are seeking a research project coordinator for an NIH-funded R01 project supervised by Drs. Renee Thompson and Tammy English (MPIs) and Todd Braver (Co-I) in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. The project (R01AG070139) examines the role of motivation and depressive psychopathology in age-related changes in emotion and emotion regulation across adulthood. It utilizes a multi-method approach that includes experience sampling, clinical interviews, behavioral measures, peripheral psychophysiological assessment, neuroimaging, and blood-based biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease risk.
