Position details A 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship is available in the Culture and Emotion Lab and the Sleep & Psychosocial Adjustment Lab at Wesleyan University. The postdoctoral fellow will work with Dr. Patricia M. Rodriguez Mosquera and Dr. Royette Tavernier Dubar on topics related to emotion, stress, adolescent and emerging adulthood development, and sleep. Expertise in advanced statistical analyses (e.g., multi-level modeling) and/or mixed methods is highly desirable but not required. Fellows will teach one undergraduate seminar per year in an area of the fellow’s interest and mentor exceptional undergraduates involved in research. A postdoctoral position in gesture research is available in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta, working with Dr. Elena Nicoladis and Dr. Paula Marentette. This project is focused on understanding the relationship between visual analysis of a scene, language choice, and gesture production. Knowledge of a language other than English and/or experience with eye-tracking would be assets. Applications from candidates with research training in psycholinguistics, cognitive science, (applied) linguistics, or developmental psychology will be particularly well suited for this position. Postdoctoral responsibilities will include contributing to our ongoing research program as well as taking the lead on research projects within that program. In addition, the person in this position will have the opportunity to work with the research programs of graduate and undergraduate students associated with the lab. The position, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, is available for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 $62,645.01 - $88,933.02   Ancora State Psychiatric Hospital is seeking an experienced Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 responsible for supervising programs of psychological services including program development and evaluation, training psychologists and other professionals and nonprofessionals. This individual will monitor their performance and carry out psychological programs in accord with professional and administrative standards. This candidate will provide direct high level services to clients, and participate in administrative decision making within the psychology department to the design of positive programs and supports within a multidisciplinary mental health setting serving a diverse adult population with severe and persistent mental illness.    Position requires a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology.  Preference is given to applicants with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD, or EdD).  Must have completed one (1) year of supervised full-time clinical internship or of one (1) year of extensively supervised clinical experience. Graduate course training shall have included at least thirty (30) semester hour credits in a psychology program consisting of six (6) semester hour credits in counseling/psychotherapy, and three (3) semester hour credits in each of the following areas: individual intelligence testing, objective and/or projective testing, and abnormal psychology. At least fifteen (15) semester hour credits should be in courses relevant to clinical psychology such as learning theories, human motivation, personality theories, human growth and development, psychopharmacology, and statistics and research.   Two (2) years of responsible experience in addition to the supervised clinical internship in the field of clinical psychology in a community mental health center, mental hospital, school for the developmentally disabled, or penal, correctional, or juvenile institution, or other setting involving the use of psychodiagnostics, psychotherapy, projective techniques, and other clinical methods.    SPECIAL NOTE: One (1) year of residency (advanced training beyond internship or extensively supervised clinical experience) is considered equivalent to one (1) year of experience.   NOTE: Thirty (30) additional semester hour credits beyond the Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience which must be earned subsequent to the supervised full-time clinical internship. Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University Position Summary Seeking to hire one or two postdoctoral researchers to collaborate with me across two grants on preschool children’s mathematical language development. One project is a National Science Foundation funded grant evaluating the impacts of mathematical language instruction on mathematics and spatial skills in preschool children. The other project is the final stages of evaluating a parent implemented mathematical language intervention for monolingual English speakers and dual language learners. The positions have the potential to be for up to two or three years depending on performance.   Responsibilities may include: intervention development, manuscript preparation, project management, presentation of findings, development of coding schemes for video and audio recordings, and development and implementation of dissemination events for families and schools.
