The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2022-2023. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 28, 2023. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology or other terminal degree. Highly qualified applicants with a master’s degree related to Psychology will be considered. The position will require the incumbent to teach three courses per semester (fall and spring) in Psychology, including our introductory course Psychology as a Natural Science, and other courses such as Behavior Principles, Drugs and Behavior, Memory and Cognition, and Conditioning and Learning. The MIDUS Affective Neuroscience Project team led by Dr. Stacey M. Schaefer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Institute on Aging is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to analyze and publish on data from the national longitudinal Midlife in the US study. MIDUS is an NIA-supported study on aging explicitly focused on all the adult years (25-100+) with multiple longitudinal timepoints over the past +20 years.
