Position details A 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship is available in the Culture and Emotion Lab and the Sleep & Psychosocial Adjustment Lab at Wesleyan University. The postdoctoral fellow will work with Dr. Patricia M. Rodriguez Mosquera and Dr. Royette Tavernier Dubar on topics related to emotion, stress, adolescent and emerging adulthood development, and sleep. Expertise in advanced statistical analyses (e.g., multi-level modeling) and/or mixed methods is highly desirable but not required. Fellows will teach one undergraduate seminar per year in an area of the fellow’s interest and mentor exceptional undergraduates involved in research. Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 $62,645.01 - $88,933.02   Ancora State Psychiatric Hospital is seeking an experienced Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 responsible for supervising programs of psychological services including program development and evaluation, training psychologists and other professionals and nonprofessionals. This individual will monitor their performance and carry out psychological programs in accord with professional and administrative standards. This candidate will provide direct high level services to clients, and participate in administrative decision making within the psychology department to the design of positive programs and supports within a multidisciplinary mental health setting serving a diverse adult population with severe and persistent mental illness.    Position requires a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology.  Preference is given to applicants with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD, or EdD).  Must have completed one (1) year of supervised full-time clinical internship or of one (1) year of extensively supervised clinical experience. Graduate course training shall have included at least thirty (30) semester hour credits in a psychology program consisting of six (6) semester hour credits in counseling/psychotherapy, and three (3) semester hour credits in each of the following areas: individual intelligence testing, objective and/or projective testing, and abnormal psychology. Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University Position Summary Seeking to hire one or two postdoctoral researchers to collaborate with me across two grants on preschool children’s mathematical language development. One project is a National Science Foundation funded grant evaluating the impacts of mathematical language instruction on mathematics and spatial skills in preschool children. The other project is the final stages of evaluating a parent implemented mathematical language intervention for monolingual English speakers and dual language learners. The positions have the potential to be for up to two or three years depending on performance.   Responsibilities may include: intervention development, manuscript preparation, project management, presentation of findings, development of coding schemes for video and audio recordings, and development and implementation of dissemination events for families and schools. Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Ph.D. or Psy.D.in School Psychology (or related field) at the time of appointment. The successful candidate should be eligible to apply for Illinois licensure as a school psychologist (Professional Educator License School Support Personnel). Strong potential for excellence in teaching and research. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: College teaching, research experience, and experience as a school psychologist. The candidate should also be willing and able to work collaboratively within a relatively small graduate program and within the larger psychology department and university community. The Social & Affective Neuroscience Lab at Brown University (Lab Director : Oriel FeldmanHall) invites applications for a full-time lab manager / research assistant. Job Description: Primary responsibilities include: (1) data acquisition using behavioral, psychophysiological, and brain imaging techniques (2) subject recruitment and screening; (3) management and analysis of datasets; and (4) managing the lab and performing administrative duties, including IRB documentation. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, cognitive science, computer science, neuroscience or related field is required. 1-2 years of related research experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered). The Social & Affective Neuroscience Lab at Brown University (Lab Director : Oriel FeldmanHall) invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate (renewable one year appointment, start date flexible). Our lab uses behavioral, neuroimaging and psychophysiological techniques to explore the cognitive and neural basis of social decision-making (read more at FeldmanHallLab.com ). The post-doc will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing, funded research that spans multiple areas within the field of social psychology and neuroscience. The ideal candidate will have experience in cognitive and affective neuroscience, strong quantitative and statistical training, and an interest in understanding social decision-making and learning. The strongest applications will not only have a deep interest in moral cognition and social learning, but will also be creative and independent, taking innovative approaches to the study of social cognitive processes and their neural basis, especially with a focus of learning under social uncertainty. The position will include some freedom to develop and lead new research within the broader aims of the lab. Education & Experience Required: Doctor of Philosophy Degree in neuroscience, psychology, economics or a related field. Prior experience with fMRI data analysis is highly preferred, and proficiency in Matlab, R or equivalent is required.
