The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Moffitt Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a faculty member in the tenure-earning rank of Assistant/Associate Member with preference for strong expertise in behavioral statistics. Moffitt is affiliated with the University of South Florida and a University appointment is available in the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor as applicable. Methodological research is also expected. The Department currently has 18 faculty and approximately 27 staff engaged in a wide range of statistical and bioinformatics research and collaborations on clinical, biological, and behavioral studies in cancer and cancer prevention including novel therapeutic and drug discoveries, prognostic and predictive biomarker developments, chemoprevention, high throughput genomics, proteomics, epidemiological studies, health outcomes and behavioral research, comparative effectiveness research, clinical trial designs, and personalized medicine studies. Many of these projects draw upon Moffitt’s Total Cancer Care initiative, which provides access to a comprehensive set of clinical and molecular data on a large number of cancer patients. The Ideal Candidate: • We seek candidates with experience and expertise in behavioral statistics who can contribute to the many current health outcomes and behavioral studies at Moffitt, as evidenced by a history of peer-reviewed publications and involvement in grant supported research projects. Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University Position Summary Seeking to hire one or two postdoctoral researchers to collaborate with me across two grants on preschool children’s mathematical language development. One project is a National Science Foundation funded grant evaluating the impacts of mathematical language instruction on mathematics and spatial skills in preschool children. The other project is the final stages of evaluating a parent implemented mathematical language intervention for monolingual English speakers and dual language learners. The positions have the potential to be for up to two or three years depending on performance.   Responsibilities may include: intervention development, manuscript preparation, project management, presentation of findings, development of coding schemes for video and audio recordings, and development and implementation of dissemination events for families and schools. Clinical Psychologist Category  Physicians Schedule  1.0 FTE Facility  Livingston HealthCare Department  Clinic Job Description Job Summary: The full-time board-certified Clinical Psychologist will work as a consultant with the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) team to provide comprehensive team-based primary care. The Clinical Psychologist will work within a defined scope of practice and provide the following services to Park High School students and Livingston HealthCare patients: work closely with primary care medical staff and LCSW staff to provide consultations, psychological assessment and diagnostic testing, diagnosis and individual therapy, case management services, referral, and follow-up for acute, chronic clients and/or patients, and consultation with outside facilities and/or agencies. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administers programs of treatment; interviews patients in clinics, hospitals, and school settings. Observes patients in various situations; selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment, and provides consultation to other mental health professionals with regard to test results. Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of individual therapies. Available for inpatient consultations at Livingston HealthCare during regular work days. Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs accordingly; communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate. Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality. Guides and contributes to organization response to crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques. Provides psychological consultations to other mental health professionals within hospitals, clinics, and other community based agencies with regard to clients and/or patient care. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities: When appropriate, seeks support from and reports directly to physician. Example: CMO or Psychiatrist for complex clinical or medical matters. Qualifications Qualifications (required): Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology. Psychometric testing experience. Must have a mature personality, sense of responsibility and integrity. Must be flexible and willing to learn new skills. Must be level headed and calm in emergencies and under stress. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written. Strong personal initiative required. In all matters, this person shall observe the confidentiality of patient records and information. Additional Desirable Qualifications: Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Focus in Pediatric Psychology Experience with psychological assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems of varying severity and complexity. Proficient with psychological therapies and risk assessment. Proficient with planning and performing psychological interventions. Current awareness of developments in relevant fields. Assistant Professor of Psychology, Pennsylvania State University Penn State Schuylkill invites applications for faculty position, Assistant Professor of Psychology, (Tenure-Track, 36 weeks) to begin August 2020 or as negotiated. The Penn State Schuylkill faculty are searching for a colleague to teach introductory, clinical and health psychology courses. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be involved in research that benefits the campus, our students and the community with a preference for candidates conducting research on substance use and misuse. Penn State Schuylkill is working with our local community to combat the opioid epidemic, and this faculty member could participate in these efforts. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to join the recently launched university-wide Consortium to Combat Substance Abuse (CCSA) https://CombatSubstanceAbuse.ssri.psu.edu. The CCSA will allow the successful candidate opportunities to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary research community, participate in the CCSA annual conference, apply for research seed grants, and apply for a community fellowship to work with a local partner to address substance abuse. The successful candidate will also provide service to the campus, discipline and society. Responsibilities: Teach three courses (9 credits) each semester. Courses will include Introduction to Psychology, clinical psychology courses and and courses in area of specialty or related areas, which are delivered using traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed. Faculty are expected to publish in refereed journals and participate in professional organizations. In addition, they are expected to participate in course, curriculum, and program development and to advise students and provide career guidance. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (ABD may be considered and must be successfully completed at the time of hire). Evidence of potential in research and publication is expected. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important. Position summary: Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Professor Larisa Heiphetz, the Research Staff Assistant will support research activities in Columbia's Social and Moral Cognition Lab ( columbiasamclab.weebly.com ). Studies in the lab focus on children's and adults' moral cognition, with some studies investigating connections to religious cognition and/or to the criminal justice system. Typical responsibilities include assisting with creating stimuli, recruiting participants, coordinating data collection, organizing and maintaining participant database, ordering supplies and facilitating the preparation of forms and reports (e.g. IRB documentation). In addition to assisting with on-going projects, the lab manager will have an opportunity to develop his or her own studies.  This is a one-year position with the strong expectation of renewal for a second year and possibility of further renewals for additional years. Start date can be arranged with Professor Heiphetz and is expected to be sometime between June 1st, 2020, and September 1st, 2020.
